Together Spain and Portugal are home to over 150 indigenous wine grape varieties. There are more that 120 official regions in Spain and 60 or so in Portugal.
This is the digital edition of De Long's popular Wine Map of Spain & Portugal. Together, these two countries would rival France and Italy for the world's largest wine producer. It was De long's first-ever wine map and has been updated seven times since 2008.
The map clearly shows
Six whites - Viognier, Savagnin, Gruner Veltliner, Vermentino, Friulano, Trebbiano .
Six reds - Sagrantino, Sangiovese, Malbec, Durif, Tempranillo, Touriga.
Together they make up a fine survey of the major alternative wine varieties made in Australia today by some of our best winemakers across Australian regions.
Also available as all reds and all whites dozens.
And at a great price..
