Welcome to the Great Australian Varietal Challenge. The aim of the GAVC is to try as many Australian wines made from different varieties as you can.
Why? As a way to broaden your knowledge of wine, and to support the innovative, mostly small winemakers in Australia who are making a difference.
I've designed the challenge to help you measure and track your vinous journey of discovery, one that I have been on for the past half century.
GAVC is free to join and open ended. But to get the most out of it you need to subscribe to the Vinodiversity Newsletter.
In return you will get a downloadable booklet with a checklist and worksheet to map out your journey and to record your progress. You will also be invited to join the dedicated Facebook group to share stories and boast about your progress.
