Chambourcin Wine producers in the USA

by Poncho McCoy
(Liberty Lake, WA)

Poncho asks: I am wondering of you can recommend a source for wine made from 100% Chambourcin grapes in the United States?

Darby replies
Sorry Poncho, my knowledge of US wineries is somewhat limited.
According to Jancis Robinson in her monumental work Wine Grapes It is valued in The us for its cold hardiness. This book mentions just two producers Daveste Vineyards in North Carolina and Butler Winery in Indiana.
