Many Vinodiversity readers have been interested in De Long's Wine Grape Varietal Table. Unfortunately, the shipping costs have been very high for Australian residents, so I have arranged to act as reseller and offer the table at reduced shipping costs to Australian buyers.

I have been offering the Varietal Table for sale at $50, postage to an Australian address included.

Unfortunately my costing has been a little astray; my initial calculations were not so good, the shipping costs to me from the US are higher than I expected, I underestimated the postage within Australia, and Auspost today told me that the postage rates are going up on 1st March, so I have reluctantly decided to increase the price from $50.00 to $60.00 from 1 March 2007. This will allow me a reasonable margin, buy I am still passing on to my Australian customers a large saving from the cost of ordering direct from the US, currently at US$64.00

I intend to honour all prior commitments and orders received and paid for by 1 March 2007. So if you act within the next few days you can still secure your copy for the old price. Please note that the price is all inclusive, ie I will post your table as soon as I receive payment.

PPS. You may like to see the table for yourself. I will have a display copy at the Victorian Regional Wines Showcase at Federation Square in Melbourne. The next showcase is Western Victoria ie the Ballarat, Grampians, Henty and Pyrenees Region, to be held on Wed-Thur 7 and 8 March from 4.30-8.30pm. Last year this region put on one of the best showcases. So come along and try some wines.
