Tibouren in Australia

First, thank you for this website. It really helps me to know better the different terroirs of Australia.

I come from south of France and one of our best grape variety in our Red and Rose wines is the "Tibouren".

This grape variety provides excellent wine. It can be used as a varietal or blended with Grenache, Syrah or Cinsault.

Do you know if any winery in Australia is growing Tibouren?

So I can have a taste of "home" here in Australia :)

Anyone heard of Tibouren?
by: Darby

I have not heard about this variety in Australia. Rose wine is unfortunately not highly regarded in Australia so that may explain the lack of interest.

I am reluctant to say there is none here because I have made similar statements in the past about varieties and then someone comes out and corrects me.

However someone may know of a planting in Australia and can tell us about it in a comment.
