The Innocent Viogner by Shinas Estate and other favourites

by Cher
(Australia)

The Innocent Viogner by Shinas Estate definitely rates as the best white I have tried this year. For a wine I haven't had before this wine is a stand out. I drank the 06 vintage and enjoyed it heaps.

For a red the Chard Farm Pinot Noir from Central Otago New Zealand, a light but richly flavoured offering that hit the mark and was well worth the $40 Australian I paid. Having tried their Sav Blanc before and being a convert the Pinot was just as well liked.

For another red Mt Difficulty Pinot Noir another firm favuurite.

One more red. Although I think this is very hard to find. Nursery Ridge Petit Verdot. I tried the 02 vintage and was totally blown away by the flavour and texture of this wine. The best one if you can get hold of it.
