Rkatsiteli?
by: Darby

I asked for unusual varieties and that's what I got. ..Well I thought it was an unusual variety until I looked it up in Jancis's Wine Companion.

Rkatsiteli is the most common white variety grown in the republics of the former Soviet Union. It is also grown in Eastern Europe, China and the USA. But as far as I know it hasn't made an appearance down under. Does anyone know if there is an Australian grower? We have a few growers of Saperavi, so why shouldn't we have it's white companion?
