Riesling - I am now a believer!

Recently I was able to taste a variety of Aussie rieslings with Josh Raynolds who writes for IWC with Steven Tanzer. He really gave me quite an education of the things I DID NOT KNOW about this wonderful grape.

I tasted Grosset, Frankland Estates, Pikes, Mount Horrocks and Rocky Gully. All were delicious, with distinctly different styles. I am hooked!

I have not had a chance to try an aged Riesling. I am going to New York in September for a semi annual Aussie wine expo. I am staying with Josh who has promised to dig deep in his cellar for some older rieslings to expand my palate.

Loving wine is such a wonderfully rewarding hobby, and more importantly.....HUMBLING hobby. It seems the more you learn, the more you understand how little you truly know.
