Kangaroo and onion gravy on potato mash with Zinfandel

I have asked for food pairing ideas with Zinfandel.
Zinfandel with its opulent fruit characters and the excellent tannins I find works exceptional well with game meats.
I love a kangaroo steak and I find myself reaching for a bottle of Zin every time. A particular favourite at the moment in from Groom Estate in Barossa.
Thanks for the suggestion Anthony. I enjoy kangaroo occasionally. I use the fillet in a single piece and sear it all over on a hot BBQ. Then I wrap it in foil and leave it in a warm place for 20 minutes or so to cook through slightly and rest.
A few great Zinfandels I have tried lately have been, Wood Park (King Valley) Lowe family, Mudgee and Cargo Rd Wines (Orange)
And I am looking forward to renewing my acquaintance with Puglian Primitivo at the Terronia Italian Wine Schoolin October this year.
