CURRENCY CREEK - Vermentino "Vasarelli"

We recently had the opportunity to receive as a gift ~ the Vasarelli 2010 Vintage of Currency Creek Vermintino. A truly lovely drop of vino.

Having been accustomed to S. Aust wine from the Barossa and Clare Valleys especially (being an ex. South Aussie!), I was very impressed by this wonderful white wine. Drinking this lovely wine in northern NSW with tropical fish and salad, this wine is a great accompaniment. Congratulations to the winemakers.

I hope to visit the Vasarelli Cellar door at McLaren Vale* sometime in the near future.

Highly recommended.

I've edited Helen's post slightly to reflect Vasarelli's recently opened cellar door and restaurant in McLaren Vale.
Vermentino is rapidly becoming recognised as one of the best white wine varieties in Australia.
