Great wine you can enjoy everyday

Some wine and food ideas for matching with top varietal wines

The Australia Alternative Varieties Wine Show is held in November in Mildura each year. In 2007 a total of 599 wines were entered, about 100 more than last year. See the results for 2007 AAVWS here

The Show reaches it's climax with the Long Lunch on the Avoca Paddleboat. The menu is designed around last years gold medallists. It is reproduced here to show the range of alternative wines reaching the highest level, and to give you some idea about how you might marry new wines to some exciting dishes.
