Nature and Nurture in the Vineyards

The old adage says "good wines are made in the vineyard" That's where Mother Nature has her say. She can send no end of hazards and complications before the first grape is picked. See this article about some of the hazards faced by grapegrowers.

But grapegrowers and winemakers have learnt to work with nature. Traditional practices and folklore are combined with experience and cutting edge science to bring the best out of the grapes.
